PST Innovation has developed SmartNav360, a network independent tracking technology designed to work in the mobile and consumer electronics sectors. The technology gives a mobile phone user the ability to accurately track a tagging device both indoors and outdoors showing distance, direction & height, and if implemented on a mobile platform, accurate Mobile to Mobile location tracking is achieved. The PCT patent published technology uses a unique combination of Bluetooth & Wi-Fi to calculate Distance, Height and Direction of the tag (or mobile) being tracked both indoors and outdoors. In current Bluetooth & Wi-Fi enabled mobiles, a tag could be accurately tracked up to 50-100 meters. Where SmartNav360 is implemented on a mobile much greater distances can be achieved. In an industrial scenario (Emergency Services) tracking distances of up to 800-1,000 meters can be achieved. PST intends to licence SmartNav360 to manufacturers.
